D2 Survivors
Slot budget and documented evolution checks

Build planner

Updated 2026-10-29

Choose a class and difficulty, write your active skills and passives, then check a documented evolution route against your character level and learned catalyst. The planner counts unique names and exports a text plan. The official damage page does publish rules and individual skill pages publish base values; this tool does not simulate their full interaction with equipment, enemies and modifiers. Rules are official single-source data for build 20261028.2, checked 29 October 2026.

Check a documented evolution

This checks the listed route and slot count. It does not certify every typed skill, gear combination, damage total or gameplay performance. Catalysts must already be learned; the next eligible chest performs the evolution.

How to use the checks

Normal has six active and six passive slots, Nightmare eight of each, Hell ten of each; the Baal option adds two of each. Type one learned skill per line. Select a documented route, enter the current level of its required skill and include the catalyst in your learned names. An ordinary prerequisite must reach level 8; a prerequisite that is already an evolution has its single level. Meet the route’s character-level requirement, then take an eligible chest. This is a partial route checker: it does not validate arbitrary names or every possible build. Export keeps the notes as a local text file.

Questions and answers

Will it tell me the best class?

No. The tier page explains why a multiplier is not a rank.
