Is D2 Survivors worth playing?

I looked for a scored review and found news posts instead: Gadget Pilipinas on 24 October 2026, Inven on 25 October, and a Bahamut thread on 26 October. None of them is a Metacritic page, and I will not invent an 8 out of 10. What I can say is what those pages and the official FAQ repeat: it is free, it wants your Diablo II files, and the phone answer is unsettled.

What is solid, and what is a gate

The official pages and independent coverage agree that the price is zero, there are seven classes and five acts, and you need Diablo II files. The FAQ additionally says the game itself has no ads and no purchases. Separately, the official changelog lists 87 builds between 15 and 28 October 2026; that count is a single-publisher snapshot, not independent confirmation or a promise of future updates.

The gate is the files. Browser storage is about 1.1 GB. The Windows installer is unsigned. Hosted files are described as temporary. There is no Steam store page. If those are fine and you like walking while skills fire, the official site is where you play. This page is not that site.

What score does it have?

None that I could cite. If you need a number, this page does not have one.

Who is it a poor fit for?

Anyone who only plays on a phone, who does not want to point the game at a Diablo II install, who wants a Steam achievement set, or who wants a co-op mode. Co-op is simply not described on the pages I read.
